Services Offered By Our FirmPatentsWe draft, file and prosecute patent applications through to granted patents in the UK, European (EPC), International (PCT), and foreign national patent offices throughout the world. We undertake all infringement and validity investigations to enable our clients enforce their patents or, where possible avoid infringement of other third party patent rights. We help our clients maximize their profits from their patents by licensing others, enforcing their patents against others, or acquiring licences on inventions for our clients. Trade MarksWe draft, file, and prosecute Applications for British Trade Marks, European Community Trade Marks (CTM), Madrid Protocol Trade Marks, and foreign national Trade Marks through to Registration before the relevant authorities throughout the world. We draft Franchise Agreements and licences for our clients, and handle on behalf of our clients, all oppositions, revocations actions, and other disputes with third parties. Registered Designs We draft, file, and prosecute Applications for British Registered Designs, European Community Designs (ECD) , and foreign national Designs through to Registration before the relevant authorities. We draft licence Agreements to enable our clients to licence their Registered Designs and un-registered Design Rights to third parties, and handle on behalf of our clients all oppositions, revocations actions, and other disputes with third parties. InvestigationsIPR Audits We conduct independent audits of our client's technology to identify whether there are any patentable inventions that should be protected, or whether there are any potential Registered Designs, Trade Marks or enforceable unregistered Design Rights that can be protected. This service is more specifically of interest to individuals, start up companies and their advisors, investors and those proposing to fund innovation to ensure their investment is as fully protected as possible. The service is also of benefit to solicitors and companies acquiring other undertakings by acquisition or merger. Where appropriate we can put start-up companies and individuals in contact with possible sources of funding to enable them to protect their technology appropriately. Established Companies too can benefit from a technology audit of their existing projects and future projects to enable them to maximize profits by protecting their investment in their projects. Investment companies and venture capital companies assessing value of IPR are able to make better informed decisions once an audit has been carried out by us. Validity & Infringement opinions We conduct investigations into the validity of one's own patents ahead of seeking to enforce patents against others, and carry out validity investigations of third party patents that may pose a threat against our clients. Due Diligence Investigations So often individuals or start up companies launch a product on the market without first finding out who their competitors are, and whether there is any patent, Trade Mark or Registered Design owned by someone else that the would effectively stop them dead in their tracks. We carry out independent investigations on prior published patents and identify possible competitors (or potential licensees) and possible threats, and advise on strategies to circumvent or overcome problems if possible before they become a reality.
