Eurasian Patents There is an International patent system adopted by the countries of the former Soviet States namely Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, and, Turkmenistan. Under this system anyone, even individuals and companies outside of the countries who are party to this arrangement, can file a single application to obtain patents in all of the countries mentioned above. Once the application is filed the application is subjected to a novelty search and an examination. If one overcomes all technical and legal objections a single patent is granted and has effect in all of the countries mentioned above. Providing renewal fees are paid each year, the patent has a maximum life of 20 years from the date of filing. Should you want protection in all these countries we would be happy to file and prosecute Eurasian patent applications for you.
